For 30 years, First Texas Homes has built and sold high-quality, affordable homes in Texas. First Texas Homes has several communities in the Houston metro area, including Bridlewood Estates, located in the city of Richmond.
In addition to offering easy access to Houston, Richmond itself boasts many attractive features. Not least of these is a strong sense of community, and attention to the welfare of all community members. This spirit is embodied in the annual Share the Warmth program, which collects donations of cold weather items to help those in need during the winter months. While the program is only two years old, it has been successful in gathering coats, blankets, warm socks, and other items. Organized by the city, the program consults with churches and service organizations to determine how to get the donations to those who need them most, and community members are also welcome to give input if they know of someone who needs assistance. The town sets up three donation drop-off sites to make donating easy for residents.
